My Dad has a horrible temper! Anything and everything can set him off, even if its something that wouldn't make anyone else mad...well today his temper blew up at my mom. Some really bad and hurtful things were said and it came down to him throwing away all of his medications that he REALLY NEEDS. He is NOT a healthy person as you know if you've read my prayer requests before. Its like Satan has a hold on him. PLEASE pray that God will take over his heart, soften him, make him stop being so hateful and treating my mom and me this way. Pray that God will make him take his medication out of the trash and take it the way he is supposed to. Make him have a different outlook on life. He says no one wants him around. I love him, he's my father, of course I want him around. I just don't want his yelling and throwing fits about every tiny thing, please please please pray for my family. Thank you all sooo very much. Your Dad is not a bad person. I know what it is like to love someone who has mental health problems. It hurts, and feel helpless becaues you can't fix it for them. Your love doesn't even seem to make a differance, although it does because you pray, and prayer, the kind of prayers that precede actions that the Holy Spirit guides is effective.
THere are many kinds of prayers, but at the root of every prayer, is our willingness to submit to the Holy Spirit, and listen. We talk, we listen. It is a conversation.
I thank you so much for the courage that you have shown to be honest. It is a gift that will serve you well in life. It is not easy.
Thank you for allowing me to pray with you to help your family.
" Dear Heavenly Father,
You know all things. You know exactly what it will take to get this man the help he needs and deserves, for himself and his family that obviously love him very much.
I ask you to give his wife the strength, the wisdom, the spiritual power to do whatever it is she needs to do. Please clearly show her what she is to do next.
It would be nice if our feelings had power to change things. If our intensity of love could magically change someone. But, it is only You who can orchestrate healings, and You do that in so many creative ways, in ways that sometimes hurt in the short run, but are good .
Please send this family help that is concrete. Please touch this man and shoe him what he needs to do. I know he is in a lot of pain right now, and doesn't understand what is happening. I ask you to reveal yourself to him, and to speak to his spirit about what he can do to get help. I pray that he realizes how much his venting his frustrations this way is damaging those he loves the very most.Help him. Have mercy on him, and guide his steps to help.
I pray that the way You lead and intercede be as peaceful as possible.
I ask you to bless this young person. Surrond them and protect them. I know they love you and talk with You. I know that the courage they have to express themselves is from you.
Do the very best for this family. For each member.
We thank you that You are in the real lives of ordinary people, able to comfort, direct and lead in real ways.
Please do something! Attend to their cries, and come, as a wind and deliver them.
