Dear Brother,
You will make it through. When the Holy Spirit gets a grip on you, He will never let you go. The flesh is strong, the enemy is crafty,evil is determined, but the God that promises that He who is in you is stronger.
" Dear Heavenly Father,
I ask you to enpower this brother to overcome the flesh and the enemy in His life that He may know what is the freedom of life lived in total submission to You, to say no to lies, tempatations and all things that are set against your Holiness in his life. There is joy in holiness the enemy doesn't want to let us know about. He will lie about You, and whisper that You do not want us to know pleasure. This is a total utter lie, for you and You alone know what real good is, our futile minds only know triggers and imaginations and automatic responses, not true pleasure.
Give this brother humility and patience and most of all, a relationship with You, intimate,personal,real, so bonded will be you two, that this man longs to please You more than anything else in his being. Only You can give us the power to do this, to live a life of freedom not to do things that harm his soul! That gift is given to those who draw close to you.
Rebuke the enemy from his mind and heart. Give him strength to withstand the painful process you take us through when you shift us, and re- make us, transform us into Your people. It is worth the pain.
Encourage this brother by allowing him to see the ways in which You bring him joy and pleasure in legitimate ways every day, when we choose to reject the little shinny cheap lures of the flesh and the enemy we can find treasures of gold that last and gain value.

The word is spiritual, so you have to spend time in prayer before you read it. Be sure you're not in the flesh as you read because the flesh has no desire for God period. Secondly, call someone for prayer. I do this daily. Use the spiritual resources of other christians to strengthen you against the enemy. He may be attacking your mind because he knows that God is about to heal you through his word. So just bind the enemy daily. One more thing, be careful what you think about before you pray. Sometimes it is hard to concentrate on something spiritual if we have been worrying about other things throughout the day. If this is the case, then just take time to meditate on the things of God before you read the word. This should prepare your mind to receive. And, again, always pray before you read!
