God--
Please! I want to do what you want me to, but I know your will causes more emotional pain! I wish it could be easier!
thank you for bill and kiefer! they have both been SOO supportive and theyve gotten me to where I am. But going to my parents and telling them that ive been addicted to porn and masturbation... that just doesn't seem ready yet! I want to do what you want, and I think thats telling them. Give me the strength to do it.
And whatever happens after that... if it stays between the of us... if i end up in counseling.... help me to be honest and get that help i need.
if i just can't, God i need to give upt his habit. It can't control my life forever, and your the only one who can help with that!
I know you have the power! just help me see it and do what you want

First of all, know that at the moment that you confess your sins, you are free from them at that very moment! Those sins no longer have the power to control you anymore("so if the son makes you free, you are free indeed" jn.8:36). But you still have a mind that needs to be renewed; your thought patterns need to change(Ro.12:2,Eph 4:24). You get this as you study God's word everyday. Old thought patterns begin to die and new ones begin to form, pure thoughts that substantially lessen the cravings of your sin nature(we all have both an evil nature and good nature.Gal.5:16,17). The more of God's word that you store in your heart, the less trouble you will have with sin("I have hidden your word in my heart so that I might not sin against you" Psa.119:11). Take that seriously because you will never overcome past sins without becoming a diligent reader of the word! It's God's way of washing us of impurities still in our hearts(Eph.5:26, Ro.12:32).
The second thing to do is extremely important as well. It invloves your prayer life. Jesus said, "Watch and pray so that you do not enter into temptation, for the spirit is willing, but the flesh(the evil nature) is weak(Matt.26:41). Prayer controls the evil nature within us and doesn't allow it to control our behavior. As long as you stay prayed up, and as long as you keep putting the word of God in your heart, you will be able to walk that right and narrow path of holiness. That's the only way anyone can live holy- lots of prayer and word of God. Believe it or not, we can overcome anything this way- even pornography. The presence of God in our lives on a daily basis will help defeat anything the devil brings our way. But there must be submission to God first. That's the only way. "Submit to God and resist the devil, and he will flee."(Js.4:7).
Finally, be sure to join a holy church, where there are christians there who can encourage you and help you. Many of them have overcome things similar to what you are going through. Also, God will bring some of them into a closer relationship with you so that you all can pray for one another to overcome whatever problems you are having(Js.5:16). The Bible teaches us that we need help from each other. "two are better than one"(Eccl.4:9). Jesus also said that where two or three are gathered in his name, that he would be there with them and that he would answer there prayers(Matt.18:18-20). So group prayer is absolutely necessary for overcoming evil in our lives. People who battle sins alone, on there own, don't usually overcome them. Demons are too persistent and they come after us in groups sometimes(Matt.12:43-45). Never battle those forces alone when you can have the combine power of all of God's forces through combined help of other christians. It's simply not wise to do that. A trick of the devil.
So don't worry about anything. Just submit to God totally, and everything else will take care of itself. Your passion and desire for porn- or any sin- will start to die. As one minister said, "Carnality is swallowed up in spirituality". As we seek God will all of our hearts, he sets us free from everthing else, It's just that simple. Also, if you are not ready to tell your parents about the problem you have had with pornography, then don't do so. You are an adult now and have that right. You can tell them later as you testify to them how God delivered you. That sounds better.
God bless you!
Everything will be ok!
