As a young person, I lived with depression and loneliness almost on a daily basis. I was sick and tired of life because I had gone through so much by my teenage years- death in my family, poverty, school problems, etc... I often wondered why God brought me into this world. But now, as I look back on it, I'm glad God brought me into this world, not just for myself, but for those who need the help I can offer based on what God has brought me through. And If you hold on and seek God with all of your heart, you will come to see this happen in your life as well.

You see, it all starts with the peace and joy we get from God as we seek him with our whole heart. He created us, so he knows what makes us tick. He knows who will be good friends for us; he knows who the perfect mate for us is; and he knows which college is best for us, among many other things. Your loneliness is simply an inner longer for a closer relationship with him. All of us subconsciously long for the one who created us. In him is where every longing and desire is fulfilled. So do as I did: seek him, and everything else will take care of itself. I promise. I'm speaking from experience. By the way, even if you did find someone to help ease your loneliness, it would only be a temporary fix to your problem. Your dependancy on that person for happiness would be too great, and you would probably just end up tiring this person out emotionally. No one can carry the burden of making you happy. Only God can do that. Let him heal you first before you go into any kind of relationship. Always get your joy from God first, and then you can find joy in everything else, even your bad times.
