Dear Broken Hearted:
Beautiful Sister,
You are not alone! I send you a hug and the Love of God to you! So many people, including myself, have to go through this . It is part of life. Some of us have had life experiences, childhoods, etc. that leave us feeling especially isolated, and have difficulty with intimacy because of deep wounds.
The good news is that Jesus came to heal the broken hearted and to be the friend that sticks closer than a brother. He is the One true love that will never leave or forsake you. He is the one that builds us up from the inside out. He is the sweet presence that woos us into freedom to fully be the people He who created us meant for us to be. Free to dance our unique dance. The world tries to force us into boxes, to use us for their own purpose, Jesus wants us to show our very detailed specifically individual beauty that is like no other. THere are no two of us exactly alike. In all the world. Isn't that incredible!
Many of us never understand how much God loves us. It is n't just a cliche thing likie, " Jesus loves You" kind of a slogan, it is something so far beyond the human brain, it takes us on a journey that is so so exciting and sweet.
Whether or not He chooses to bless with a companion with skin on is sometimes not known. We can ask HIm to. Not all of us are blessed with the gift of a spouse when we would like to be. But, He promises always to cover us, to speak to us, to guide, to protect, to comfort, to help us deal with the natural temptations we all have. He even sings to us in the night, the scriptures say. He joys over us, and delights in us, The Word also says that we are the "apple of His eye"
I believe that those of us that have been deeply wounded are especially dear to Him and He seems to like to take His time mending our heart with him alone. He sometimes takes us into a wilderness in order to speak kind words into our anxious hearts. Of course, meanwhile, we beg for the kind of love with skin on.That is natural, and human. I know He understands since He created that need also. But, He is patient and wants us to know that human loves may come and go, but He will always be our First love, the love from which all others flow. Our core Love.
There is nothing wrong with you , except that you are human. The darn thing about our species is that we sin and hurt one another frequently. We hurt ourselves too. We allow voices of lies, mean things, negative things to be in our thoughts. We damage each other, but it is not beyond repair. That is the good news. There is forgiveness and healing.
This may be a long process. It has been for me. Far too much longer than my flesh would like, but it has been painfully sweet, as God has shown me many things I would not otherwise have known, or cared to know.
I thank you for writing in and allowing me the chance to share with you and pray with you about this. I know that God hears, and will answer. I know that because you wrote in for prayer that You do have a deep heart, and a sensative spirit. God will answer You. It is hard to find a faithful person in this world. We all have issues, so many issues, and not much help from the world in developing skills and tools to make relationships work long term.
We all have the capability of being selfish and lustful and many other things that destroy relationships, but God is in the character building business and He is really good at it. He knows how to do it right- from the ground up. But He often is slow and deliberate, and carefuly about the materials He uses.
Be patient and be looking for God's Hand in Your life guiding You. It is exciting to be looking around for the finger prints of God in your daily life. To wake up and be looking forward to see how He chooses to show up- in the oddest of places, and faces, and even in some things that we thought were "bad"
Anyway, I hope this has been helpful in some way, sister to sister.
"Dear Almighty God,
I lift this beautiful woman up to You tonight and ask that she be set apaprt for a speical blessing of knowing Your incredible love, that there are no words for just, "WOW!"
She is hurting, you know all about it because You made her, formed her and know everything that has happened in her life, and what will be. You are not entrapped in time, and know all things from begining to end. You understand what being human is like. You know what betrayal is like too. You know what it is like to be vulnerable.
It hurts. Jesus, you are one of us, brother, friend, you know what being humilated is like. You understand the longing to be held, and finding no arms. But, you trusted in Your Father, and leaned upon Him, like we can do if we choose.
Please open up new eyes of understanding for this sweet woman. Give her insights about Your plan for her life, and the eyes to see herself the way YOU DO- lovely and delightful and loveable. There is no one like her in the world span of universes. You loved her so much, you died for HER specifically. Even if she were the only person in the world , you world have gone to the cross just for her.
Holy Spirit , come and move inside her spirit, to guide her healing process. Bring her the fulness of Your joy, and the peace of knowing that no matter what happens she is always YOUR precious queen. She belongs to You and no other human being can ever assign her a value. You declare her worthy of love, of being treated as valuable, and nothing can take that away.
I thank you for her unique beauty, and all those things that you made her to be that no one else can be but her.
Come to her, and allow her to hear Your whispers in her ear, and I pray that You give her enlarged faith to hear, and believe that which YOU tell her about her value.
Place a hedge of protection around her. Lead her to books, teachers, and whatever else that will help her find her way to freedom in You to be the noble woman she was meant to be.
I pray that above all else, she have confidence knowing that You Love her , every cell of her, and that You have plans to meet her needs, that are good.
Thank you for being faithful to us. Thank you for desiring our good, even though we might be in pain for a season, You will pull us through and bring us joy. You will give us beauty for ashes. You will even give us real human beings with skin on to love and be loved by in Your time, according to Your heart of Love for us.
Thank you for never giving up on us, even when we do.
Thank you for giving us freedom to talk with YOU, almighty God of the Universes , any time we want to and that You love it when we talk to You. THank you for longing for us, and longing to grant us the desires of our heart, as we put our trust in You.
We praise you and thank you for giving us feelings even though we often hurt, and do not understand why we feel what we do. I ask you to give us, me included, ways to manage our feelings with our spirit leading the way, instead of our feelings. Our feelings are not bad or good, they just are. Sometimes , they lie and mislead us about what is really going on. Help us to be able to use our feelings to guide, not to direct our actions.
Place your covering upon this woman, and annoint her with joy.
